(Sept. 20, 2024; NAPA, Calif.)–Bouchaine Vineyards’ owners Gerret and Tatiana Copeland are pleased to announce that Bouchaine wines will be poured at Versailles during the palace’s Annual Gala Dinner on Sept. 29, 2024. The gala will take place at the Gallery of Great Battles, the largest room at France’s illustrious Château de Versailles.
Gerret and Tatiana Copeland will attend the gala, along with Bouchaine President and Winemaker Chris Kajani, as honored guests of Versailles, for their generous sponsorship of bringing Versailles’ orchestra to perform during a future Festival Napa Valley’s season.
“I have long been an avid supporter of the arts, and especially music,” says Tatiana Copeland. “I couldn’t have been more elated when I was presented with the opportunity of bringing this fabulous orchestra to perform at Festival Napa Valley next year. The impact of a live performance is like nothing else you can experience, and I am delighted to take in the splendor of and grandeur of Versailles while listening to some great music and sipping our Bouchaine wines at the same time!” The wines being served at Versailles are the 2022 Bouchaine Chardonnay, Estate Selection, and the 2021 Bouchaine Calera Clone Pinot Noir, Estate Selection.
The evening festivities will feature the elegant wines of Bouchaine Vineyards and a virtuoso performance in the Royal Chapel from a quartet of distinguished singers with musical accompaniment by the Versailles Orchestra, led by two long-time conductors, Gaétan Jarry and Stefan Plewniak. After dinner in the Gallery of Great Battles, guests will be swept away to the famous Hall of Mirrors to finish the evening with a fireworks show.
An affinity for music runs through Tatiana Copeland’s veins. The great Russian composer and pianist, Sergei Rachmaninoff, was her mother’s uncle. She was recently appointed by President Biden to The Kennedy Center Board of Trustees due to her lifelong commitment to supporting the arts. The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C. serves as the country’s national cultural center and a memorial to President John F. Kennedy. It is made up of various government officials and individuals appointed directly by the President.
The Copelands are long-time vintners and have owned Bouchaine Vineyards for more than 40 years, making it one of the oldest, continuously family-owned properties in Napa Valley’s Carneros AVA. Living in accordance with its motto, “Wine Makes You Happy,” the team at Bouchaine proudly produces estate wines of extraordinary character and quality.
